Anamal transforms from man to beast in the recording booth leaving bystanders wondering how to lock it from the outside like a cage until he returns to human form. When the beat dies animal exits the booth as if he has just buried a body in the dirt. This 1984 Bronx born Anamal has been through more in his life than most as trails & tribulations have often lead him to believe nobody can save him. At the young age of 16 years old, Anamal was kicked out on the streets and had to go from house to house seeking temporary shelter finding peace in few places as even his dreams turned into nightmares that left him in pools of sweat. Living a life that he was not proud of but needing to find a way to make cash, Anamal did what he felt was necessary to survive. Although the streets of NYC were rough, Anamal managed to call the street his home & those he associated with became his family. To this day vivid reflections of the past continue to haunt him. It is within the production of his music that he finds solace and maintains his sanity. Anamal posses the drive of an athlete that refuses to settle for defeat and credits his determination to occasions during his youth he was told he’d never amount to nothing. Although influenced by the likes of Jay-Z, Nas & the fellow artists of More Than Music Records, Anamal’s goal is not to become the best rapper on the planet or the greatest rapper of all time, his sights are set on using his music as a ladder that will lead him from the streets to wealth. Anamal’s desire is to use riches attained to help many others that are were he once was. Anamal’s forthcoming album ‘Animosity’ is sure to provide insight into his life. In 2002, Anamal performed as the opening act at Norfolk State University sharing the stage with Puff Daddy, Fabulous & Busta Rhymes. Needless to say, the show was a hit. Within the next 2-5 years Anamal plans jump into acting, launch his own music label and open a chain of laundry mats in NYC as well as other US states. When you want something you have to go for it & at times knocking is just too polite, Anamal’s desire for success has him kicking doors off the hinges.
