Metta was born, in Ponce, Puerto Rico but raised in the south Bronx, NY. His exposure to great rappers, R&B singers, and pop music gave Metta a wide range of musical appreciation. His own musical versatility stems from the many artists he admired as a kid, ranging from Michael Jackson, The Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, Big L, and Jay-Z. Rapping since age 15, Metta has seen himself grow and mature through his music, writing song after song. More Than Music's "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" compilation was just the tip of the iceberg for Metta, giving the people a little taste of what's to come. Metta has proven his ability to adapt to any genre,providing music
for all to enjoy.His voice can easily adapt to different moods as needed. Metta posses a flow that seems to defy gravity; hovering in mid air as his voice erupts from all stereo systems that play his music. Fully capable of throwing down hard rhymes with the best of them, Metta’s focus is to create radio ready, club friendly tracks geared towards the ladies. Metta’s gracious and energetic personality allows him to fit in at all types of venues, with all types of people. Even so, Metta is not resting on his obvious like ability to gain fame. In terms of his potential, the music speaks for itself. Metta is visually hungry for all the world of hip-hop has to offer. Metta has performed on many a stages but one of his most memorable performances was during a tour in Texas and Louisiana where he performed alongside artists such as Bizzy Bone, and various Desert Storm South artists. Overwhelming positive feedback from his fans and the unconditional support of More than Music Records has illuminated the path to his future.Metta knows that he will not be satisfied with simply being an artist so he involves himself with other ventures with intentions of becoming an icon/mogul like his idols Jay-Z, Diddy & Russell Simmons. Metta’s plan is to attain multi-platinum status then launch a music label, a clothing line, night club, and restaurant just to name a few. While in college, Metta was also an education specialist, I guess it's safe to say that he has been giving back to the youth and the community for quite some time now and will continue to do so from now on. Metta has rhymed on a number of compilations/mix tapes and is presently in the production phase for his debut album “No Stone Unturned”. Metta’s ability to switch his flow from fast to slow and give you a taste of different rhythms; is like a twist of lime in your favorite drink. His first debut single to hit the streets “Pencil Skirt” is burning up the streets, being played in the clubs, engaging the ladies, and on the way to a radio station near you.
