When CEO & co-founder of More Than Music Records, Sheldon Smalls, AKA 1st-Born, loans his voice to a track it is obvious he is that of a lyrical genius. As his song “How we live” blasts out of his studio’s speaker system, everyone present bobs their heads as his lyrics fuse with the beat. 1st knows that he is destined for ultimate greatness as his independent label begins it's transformation into a major music empire. More Than Music consists of a multitude of artists with various genres of music to include Reggaeton, hip-hop, reggae, R&B, Pop, and Spanish hip-hop. 1st is responsible as the co-producer of over 300 (+) tracks.  His influences include Jay Z, 2 Pac, Bigge, Eminem, 50 Cent, Quincy Jones, Barry Gordy & record producer legend Phill Spector. As with any CEO, his aspirations are to make millions & grow a successful empire in the process. His artists have performed in NY, NJ, Conn, DC, VA, SC, NC, GA, TX, LA, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, etc. The first group out the More Than Music Records gate is 182 En Progreso whose debut album ‘Brillando La City’ is due to be released.  1st became an underground icon with “The Promo” mixed tape album that left people wanting more. His 2nd mixtape “The New York Times” quickly became an instant classic with remixed songs, featuring himself on tracks of “Tupac” and “Big Pun”. Presently 1st is in production of his debut album “1st things 1st””. 1st  knows better than all that this is more than music, it’s a religion.
