J.Q.
The Florida Boy
The famous words of 50 Cent "I'm New Yorker but I sound southern" fits JQ like no other NY rapper. JQ is that Southern Northerner with a NY swagger and a Florida flow that cuts like a dagger. Born in NYC in 1987, JQ's initial stay in NYC was short lived as his parents returned back to sunny Florida almost as soon as JQ found the entrance into the world. At the age of 9 years old, while the other kids were playing Sega & Nintendo, JQ was at the crib with a pen & pad sitting by the window orcharasting hardcore rhymes like an arctitect running out of time. In 2007 J.Q returned to NYC ready to introduce a lil southern hospitality to the New York scene. With the influences of 36 Mafia, Hot Boys, Juvenile & Tupac, JQ is ready to add his name with the great rappers in the game. Many that come in contact with JQ quickly think of Ludacris & others say that when he raps he sounds like Plaz. JQ is taking that Flo Rida elevator straight to the top and when he gets there he still won't stop. JQ is not that rapper you will find in the club on the dance floor as he is more reserved & mellow than most rappers. This reservation has helped him to keep a level head his entire life. Having also lived in Mississippi, you'd say he has been all over the place but the journey for him is just starting. Alike his fellow More Than Music artists, JQ intends to use his lyrical skill as a means of becoming a household name all while taking that success & diving head first into an array of financial investments to include properties in NYC, Florida & Mississippi. JQ is smooth yet rough, laid back but tough and ready to drop album after album with a sound that blends well with other genres of music. Call it hardcore commercial with a twist of
R&B lime. Call it whatever you wish but this is JQ's time.
